The DuPage Association of Women Lawyers invites you once again to take part in our organization through your membership. Last year was an innovative year for this Association under the leadership of Michelle Moore. This year as current president, I hope to firmly implement and integrate last year's Board's innovative ideas so that they take hold and become part of this Organization's mission. With your help, DAWL can continue to accomplish these goals! We have several great upcoming events, including:
∙ The return of our First Friday Lunches, beginning September 4th at the Ivy in Wheaton. This year the lunches will alternate between three locations: Ivy, Maggiano's in Naperville, and Greek Islands in Lombard. They will continue to take place on the first Friday of each month and the price is fixed at $20. We are excited to continue this event and hope to see many of you in attendance throughout the year.
∙ Also on September 24th, we will be once again having our Martini's and Manicures event. Look for more information about this event soon.
∙ Our Networking Seminar will be on October 22nd at Mullens. This is an excellent opportunity to meet other members and develop potential business contacts.
∙ Please help us benefit Safe Harbor at the DuPage County Courthouse by attending the annual Zoo Ball in November!
∙ Our annual Holiday Party is set for the first week in December.
∙ Our substantive MCLE seminar (pending approval) in February.
∙ It is our hope to complete an out-reach project to supply clothing and resume/interview assistance to women in need in March, 2010. We can't do this without your support!
∙ Our annual Judges Reception will take place in April.
∙ The return of our Kentucky Derby Event on May 1, 2010!

Any DAWL members who are interested in becoming more involved in the Organization, please let us know. There are ten women on this Board who give of their time to run this organization and its events. They are an amazing and inspiring group of women in their own right and I am honored to be working with them this year.
